Tips and use

I invite you to discover some tips that will allow you to enjoy your scented candle in the best conditions.

I Use your scented candle correctly

When using for the first time, let the candle burn for 2 or 3 hours until all of the wax has become liquid on the surface. This will prevent the wax from subsequently hollowing out and forming a well around the wick.

Never leave a burning candle unattended and take care not to burn it for more than four hours in a row. Do not move the candle when it is lit or the wax is still liquid.

Never place a lit candle in a draft, or in direct contact with a precious surface. It must be placed on a flat, heat-resistant surface.

To extinguish it, use a lid or a snuffer to avoid smoke and any projection of liquid wax.

Keep the candle out of reach of children and pets.

II Caring for the wick of your scented candle

Be sure to re-center the wick in the wax after each use for even wax consumption. This will also prevent the glass from overheating and, by extension, exploding. The wick and the flame must not touch the container.

Finally, regularly cut the wick with the wick cutter (ideal length 3 to 5 mm) to prevent the candle from smoking or the wick from falling into the wax and rendering the candle unusable.

III Give a second life to the glass jar of your scented candle

A candle is finished when there is only 5 mm of wax remaining or the metal base which supports the wick is visible, it should then not be relighted.

This is when the second life of your scented candle pot can begin: the glass container can be kept and used as you wish, like a small vase, like a small pot for brushes or pencils, or a simple tealight holder...

Note: The wicks of the scented candles are made of cotton and linen. Made from unbleached cotton, interwoven with linen thread, these wicks provide excellent rigidity, as well as reduced after-burning glow and smoke.
