Beyond Absence
Because love, souls, and true bonds continue to exist far beyond the visible world.

Death is one of the greatest pains a human being can experience. When someone we love leaves this world, something breaks inside us. Silence feels different, places seem empty, and absence takes up an immense space in everyday life. Yet despite this physical disappearance, certain presences sometimes continue to manifest themselves in a troubling and deeply intimate way.
For a long time, we were led to believe that everything ended with the body. But some experiences completely challenge that idea. Dreams of inexplicable intensity, sudden sensations, signs appearing precisely when we think of a loved one… all these things create the feeling that a connection continues to exist beyond matter.
I myself experienced several things after the passing of my grandmothers. Moments so powerful that they changed my vision of life and death. They are no longer physically here, and yet their presence has manifested itself several times, as if the bond between us had never disappeared.
There were those dreams that felt so real they seemed more like encounters than simple images created by the mind. Their presence was peaceful, alive, almost tangible. Upon waking, there remained that strange feeling of truly having shared a moment with them.
Then there were the signs in the house. Objects falling for no apparent reason, unexplained movements, atmospheres suddenly changing. And above all, that grey and white feather found right beside the photo frame of my maternal grandmother while the windows were closed. For some, it may only be a coincidence. But when you experience this kind of moment yourself, something deep inside immediately understands that it is not insignificant.
The departed probably do not communicate in spectacular ways. Their messages seem to come through subtle details: a sensation, a feather, a song, a sudden thought, a shiver, a feeling of presence. Simple signs that we notice only when we remain attentive.
We are far more than a physical body. Even while incarnated, we are consciousness, energy, a soul living a human experience. We already perceive many invisible things without always realizing it: emotions, atmospheres, intuitions, the vibrations of places and people. Yet the modern world often pushes us to ignore this sensitive and intuitive part of ourselves, as if everything had to be explained rationally.
Some truths cannot be proven; they are simply felt. When a presence touches the heart with such strength, the mind no longer has all the answers.
I am convinced that bonds of sincere love go beyond death. Those who loved us continue to exist differently, in a reality where time and space no longer function as they do here. And sometimes, when we are calm enough and inwardly open, we can still feel their presence.
Continuing to speak to our departed loved ones is natural. Sending them thoughts, praying for them, asking for a sign, or simply speaking to them in silence helps keep this bond alive. The answers do not always come immediately, but they often appear exactly when we need them most.
Death removes physical presence, but it does not destroy love. Some bonds remain so powerful that they continue far beyond this visible world.
Perhaps those we call "the departed" are simply souls who have crossed to the other side, continuing to walk beside us in a way we have simply forgotten how to understand.
